I have worked as a audio engineer steadily since 2003. While in Boulder I studied classical recording techniques and had the opportunity to capture large ensembles at the University of Colorado, chamber groups such as the Takács Quartet, and my peers solo projects. While in Los Angeles, I interned at a then Sanctum Sound LA, where I was able to study with veteran engineer Gary Lux. There I had the opportunity to learn studio production techniques while artists such as Earth, Wind, and Fire, and JoJo came through. In LA I also worked as the head engineer for USC’s Studio Guitar Department recording studio, and worked as a freelance engineer for many recitals.
After moving to Michigan, I began to focus on recording and mixing experimental jazz and electroacoustic music. This was in addition to my own creative music.
Below are highlights from my recording and mixing portfolio. It should be noted that all recordings under my composition page are also by me.
